Privacy Policy

ProjectCalc has no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. The measurements you type into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers. We do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Dimensions, material sizes, waste percentages and prices you enter are never sent to a ProjectCalc server, because the calculators do not make server requests to compute results.

Two features do put your inputs somewhere you should know about. Share link and Copy results encode your inputs into a URL or your clipboard so you can send them to someone — anyone holding that link can see those values, so treat a shared link as public. The related project materials links carry your dimensions into another calculator in the same way, through the address bar only.

ProjectCalc uses no tracking cookies of its own. Where the site remembers a preference such as your unit system, it uses your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your site data removes it.

No analytics are currently running on this site. The architecture is prepared for Google Analytics 4 and, if it is enabled in future, this section will be updated before it goes live. It would record page views and a small set of product events (calculator opened, calculation completed, result copied, printed or shared) and would never include the measurements you type.

There is currently no advertising on this site and no advertising scripts are loaded. We intend to fund ProjectCalc with display advertising in future, most likely through Google AdSense. If and when that happens: advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads; visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any such technology is used; and this section will be rewritten to describe what is actually running before a single ad is served.

Because the site currently loads no advertising or analytics technologies that require consent, no consent banner is shown — a banner that asks permission for nothing would be noise, not compliance. Before any advertising is enabled, a Google-certified consent management platform will be integrated so that visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked properly, and so that non-essential technologies load only after consent is given.

Fonts are served from Google Fonts at build time and bundled with the site, so your browser does not request them from Google while you read. Our hosting provider processes standard server request logs, including IP addresses, for security and delivery purposes. Links to manufacturer and industry sources point to third-party websites with their own policies.

ProjectCalc is a general-purpose tool for building and home-improvement projects. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

When this policy changes materially — in particular before analytics or advertising are enabled — the date at the top of this page will be updated. Questions can go to developer.projectcalc@gmail.com.
